Question by BritPatriot: Recommend currency trading books for beginners?
I’ve always been interested in the foreign exchange markets and I want to learn more before getting into it. The problem is that whenever I come across a book for beginners, the reviews are so conflicting that I don’t want to take the risk of reading it and confusing myself. Are there any books available that is considered to be the standard for currency trading? Ones that don’t favor certain companies and business; just a basic straight-forward introduction on foreign exchange and getting started.

The Forex Market is nothing more than a 24/7/365 game of craps. The market moves up or down without rhyme or reason. Now there are fundamental reasons like nations raising or lowering interest rates or going belly up (ie: Iceland), but in the normal day to day trading, its a crap shoot.
In my opinion, the investing based on fundamentals is the only sound strategy. And if that is the case, it only makes sense to trade currency futures via the CME than trading individual currencies in the forex market.
